The Thirteenth Sunday after Trinity

3rd September 2023

This Sunday marks the beginning of Creationtide, a church season running from 1st September to 4th October and the feast of St Francis. It’s a time when we remember the Anglican Communion’s ‘fifth mark of mission’: ‘To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth.’   This year we have a special focus on the wading birds that live on the Adur estuary. A display of bird models, made by the congregation and Revd Jess Aidley, has been placed under the altar and we will be including birds and the conservation organisations working to protect them in our prayers.  We don’t have an all-age service this Sunday at 10am – it is instead a regular parish communion. Families are warmly welcome to come to our pet blessing service at 3pm. The weekend finishes with a peaceful Taizé for healing service at 6pm. Come and join us!
