The Fourth Sunday of Advent, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, December 2020
The newsletter this week covers Sunday 20th December and also includes the Christmas services. I hope you will be able to celebrate with us this Christmas, either in person or on the internet. Christmas is painfully different this year and the pandemic presents huge challenges for us all. Some of us might not be able to be with family and friends in the way that we would normally, and that brings sadness and loss. However, the message of Christmas does not change. Each year we remember that Christ is with us, bringing hope, peace and the power of God’s love here on earth. Christ is born among us and I pray that you will draw ever closer to the flame of that love this season.
Collect for the Fourth Sunday of Advent Eternal God, as Mary waited for the birth of your Son, so we wait for his coming in glory; bring us through the birth pangs of this present age to see, with her, our great salvation in Jesus Christ our Lord.
Readings 2 Samuel 7.1-11,16, Canticle: Magnificat or |
