We have our carol service at 6pm on Sunday. This is online and features a mix of traditional and modern carols. The story of Jesus’s birth is told in readings and film clips. I do hope you will be able to join us. The links are in this newsletter. There will be time to socialise afterwards on Zoom, so bring your mulled wine or winter hot chocolate. If you have one, you could wear a Christmas jumper to get us in a festive spirit. We also have our Christmas fayre on Sunday 11am- 1pm – thanks to the people who are working so hard to make this happen. Sunday promises to be a full and exciting day.

Collect God for whom we watch and wait, you sent John the Baptist to prepare the way of your Son: give us courage to speak the truth, to hunger for justice, and to suffer for the cause of right, with Jesus Christ our Lord.

Outdoor Pop-up Christmas Fayre
Sunday 13th December, 11am-1pm
This year the church Christmas Fayre will be different due to the pandemic.
All stalls are outside and socially distanced. A raffle, mulled non-alcoholic drinks - and if we're lucky a special treat.
Wrap up warm and come prepared to enjoy yourselves! Even if it rains or snows, the show will go on!

Remember we can only socialise in groups of six outside, so please don’t gather in large numbers.

His sponsored walk has raised an amazing £3,000 for church hall repairs. Many thanks to George and all who donated. It’s a remarkable achievement.

How to book for next week’s Parish Communion service in church, Sunday 20th December, 10am
- This is the TryBooking link for booking places https://www.trybooking.co.uk/TKB
- Booking will be open from Monday to Friday for the following Sunday
- You will only be able to book one week in advance. This is to prevent the same people booking every week, as it may be that more people than we can accommodate wish to come to the services.
- If you are unable to book on-line, please phone the office (01273 440202) Monday, Tuesday or Friday during office hours, and Sue or Jenny will book you in.
- 22 places will be offered. Once they are full, if you have been unsuccessful and would like to attend the following Sunday please tell the office immediately (email or phone) and you will be given a priority place ahead of the Monday to Friday booking times.

I’ve been out and about on my bike this week recording Christmas greetings from the local community to be shown as part of the carol service. It’s been a pleasure to meet so many people in the parish - even if behind a mask and at a distance.
