Shore Line Magazine

Some information about our Monthly Parish Magazine

The Shore Line is the Parish Magazine of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Shoreham Beach. It is provided as a service to the Beach Community and to the Church congregation.

The Shore Line is published each month and distributed to the congregation, to Beach shops, the Beach School and to families of children baptised in the Good Shepherd. It is also, of course, available for visitors to the church to pick up.

The Shore Line acts as a link between the Church and those living on the Beach who do not necessarily attend church. It reflects the style of worship—which we always hope is welcoming, inclusive and Christ-centred.

Why The Shore Line?

The Church of the Good Shepherd sits at the shore’s edge or the shoreline. It is in a unique position. Often, in church, we hear the might of the sea as the waves pound the shore. Local Police once stood anxiously outside the church, monitoring the tide, during a very stormy winter’s eve as we worshipped unaware of the drama unfolding outside!

So, we sit at the shoreline. We are a worshipping, healing church on Shoreham Beach, with a mission … to welcome you!

We believe in God the Father, maker of heaven and earth. We believe that He came as a human being to save us in Christ Jesus. We believe that when we call, He answers us. We believe in the Holy Spirit and the power of prayer. We believe and are steadfastly sure that the line to God is truly open, for all.

Please help yourself to a copy of The Shore Line if you come to our church, though we would be grateful if you could help us with the cost. The price is on the cover, and you can place your donation in the wall safe here in the Porch.
