Christianity Explored

Developed over 10 years, Christianity Explored is an informal course for people who'd like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. It explores who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow him. You won't be asked to pray, sing or read aloud, and you can ask any questions you like. Or, if you prefer, you can just come along and listen. Christianity Explored has been around for over a decade now, and it's been designed to suit different age ranges and people.

Three groups formed to be the first to study Christianity Explored at COGS. They met in different places and at different times and coverED the material over varying weeks between 17th September and 4th December, with one group taking a break and finishing in January.
On 23rd January 2010, all three groups got together for the day to study the weekend material "Exploring Christian Life". We had a great day, with plenty of laughter and a good lunch, and all agreed that the course was one it was worth while repeating.

Over the summer, we used this material to help prepare people of all ages for Confirmation, and our oldest Youth Group (now called the Cup Cake Club) are using it at their sessions. We hope in future also to use the sessions as a way of welcoming and encouraging those who are new to the church, possibly as part of an initiative with other Churches in Shoreham-by-Sea.
